“系统模拟与软件技术实验室”(System Modeling & Software Technology Lab)(SMST Lab.) 成立于199912月,并于200110月建立了自己的网页,其中,“系统”的含义是“农业系统”和“作物环境系统或‘土壤-植物-大气-措施’系统(Soil-Plant-Atmosphere-Practice System, SPAPS)”,即对象是两个系统,农业大系统与作物小系统;“模拟”的含义是对两个系统的元素及元素间的关系进行数量化研究,建立数学模型,特别是机理性的模拟模型;“软件技术”的含义是在建立研究对象的模型基础上,设计软件系统,并进行应用研究,即理论研究与应用研究相结合,一方面深化模型理论研究,另一方面注重解决中国实际问题,加强模型的应用性与实用性。

农业部植物营养与养分循环重点开放实验室依托于中国农业大学植物营养系和中国农业科学院土壤与肥料研究所。该室立足于生物与环境学科研究前沿,以合理开发和利用养分资源、促进农业的可持续性发展为宗旨,以提高作物产量、改善品质、降低生产成本和扩大养分再循环及保持良性生态环境为目的,以培肥土壤、合理施肥和挖掘作物营养性状的遗传潜力为主要手段,全面开展植物营养领域中的基础和应用基础研究。该实验室的主要研究领域包括:植物营养生理与遗传,植物根际营养,新型肥料与数字化施肥,养分资源再利用与污染控制等。
